A weekend trip

This weekend me and my mom and dad went on a trip for the weekend. We went to the Loire Valley in France. On the way there we stopped at a cathedral called Chartres. It was fun. There were lots of stained glass windows, and there was a room full of boxes with parts of saints in them. The parts of saints were in the boxes because you need a part of a saint to build a cathedral. We stayed in a castle called Chateau Montriou. We walked around there a little and then went out for dinner. The chateau that we stayed at was very cool because it had lots of gardens on the outside. The gardens were pretty. It was funny because the flowers were still blooming, and they still had some vegetables even though it was November. In one of the gardens I picked some tomatoes and ate them. They were very good. I got a little baby tomato that was as tiny as the tip of my pinky. The place where we were staying in the chateau was very cool because it was the oldest part of it. It was from the 15th century.

The next day we went to a castle called Angers that was very cool. It had 17 towers. I got a little booklet with games in it to do on the way.

The chard was as high as a Lucia's eye!
